The brand-new Desire Resort &
Spa Los Cabos is located at the southern tip of Mexico's
thousand-mile long Baja California peninsula where the Sea of
Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean near the colonial town of San
José del Cabo and a mere15 minutes from Los Cabos International
Airport (Airport code: SJD).
If you rent a car:
As you leave the airport take the main exit, immediately turn to
the left and then stay on your right. Follow the signs to "Cabo
San Lucas Cuota" and drive for 15 more minutes on the toll road
(it will cost you approximately USD$3.00). After you pay the fee
drive for about 3 more minutes and take the left exit to "San
Jose Centro", (the smaller exit) then drive around the traffic
circle to the Hotel Zone, just beside the "Mega Comercial
Mexicana" mall. Then take the Blvd. Malecon San Jose and on the
left at km 0.5 you'll find Desire Resort & SPA Los Cabos
General
Los Cabos is a beautiful, rugged area, which has retained its
air of remoteness even though it is easily accessible via its
modern international airport. Attracting Hollywood 's finest
since the '40's, it has grown and flourished into an exclusive
luxury destination. Today, 'A-list' celebrities and well-heeled
vacationers continue to enjoy its mountainous, desert beauty and
its exciting craggy shoreline.
The
Los Cabos region derives its name from the area's two towns:
Cabo San Lucas has a reputation as a party city, and San Jose
del Cabo is known for its more sedate, cultural ambience. The 'Cabo
Corridor,' a 20-mile long roadway connecting the two towns, has
developed into an upscale destination of its own, with five-star
luxury resorts, golf courses and fashionable shops.
With a bit of something for everyone, constant sunshine and
clear blue waters rich with marine life, Cabos is an ideal
escape for sunning, relaxation, world-class fishing and whale
watching excursions. The coastline is a stretch of white-sand
beaches and stunning, wild desert landscapes. El Arco, the
natural rock formation arch at Land's End, is Cabos' signature
landmark.
Seclusion, privacy and a raw, but very sensual, physical charm
makes San Jose del Cabo the perfect site for the new Desire Los
Cabos. The interiors, gourmet restaurants, expansive spa and
luxurious pools have all been designed to promote guests'
friendly encounters and shared enthusiasms.
Desire's horticulturists and landscape designers have ensured
that the beauty of Baja extends from the property's beachfront
right into the resort's inner desert gardens. Indigenous flora
and cacti have been carefully placed through the broad stretch
of dunes that descends to the water. Although the strong
riptides and currents at the juncture of Sea-and-Ocean preclude
swimming along the coast, guests at Desire Los Cabos can enjoy
the expansive BeachCourt with its trademark Desire LoungeBeds,
ideal for au natural sunbathing.
